Here we go again! New sponsor: A water company sponsoring Milan Fashion Week?

Barely a week ago, Milan Fashion Week (MFW) lost its third major sponsor, Visa Inc. because activists started protesting its offices and the homes of its executives. While Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) continues to dig its heels in and refuses to denounce fur, they are quickly becoming a pariah. No corporate sponsor will want to deal with anti-fur activists at their business by partnering with CNMI and MFW for much longer.

WHY FIUGGI WATER AND LMDV CAPITAL?

Now, we are shining a spotlight on Fiuggi Water, an artisanal water brand, and its parent company, LMDV Capital. Fiuggi is the official water partner of Milan Fashion Week. There’s not enough water in the world to wash the blood off their hands if they continue to partner with an event that openly normalizes and encourages others to wear fur.

LMDV Capital, who owns over 70% of Fiuggi water, has the final say. It is an investment firm owned by Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio of Essilorluxottica and specializes in Italian investments. LMDV Capital’s involvement also opens the door to a whole network of tertiary targets. Seems like partnering with the animal abusers at CNMI is a bad investment!

THE ASK

Fiuggi Water and LMDV Capital are secondary targets for Milan Fashion Week. We are calling on them to boycott the event and end their support for CNMI until an official fur-free policy is publicly announced. That means NO MORE FUR on the runways of Milan. Enough is enough. It’s time that Fiuggi and LMDV join Visa, Wella, and DHL in ending support of the fur industry.
