THE FUTURE IS FUR-FREE: MILAN FASHION WEEK SHOULD GET IN LINE
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), organizers of Milan Fashion Week, still continue to allow fur to be glamorized and normalized on its runways. While London and New York Fashion weeks have already gone fur-free, CNMI leadership refuses to make the ethical and moral commitment to ban real fur at its events.
There is extensive and well-documented evidence showing the extreme cruelty inherent in the fur industry. Wild animals on fur farms know nothing but suffering. From birth, they are locked in tiny cages, denied every natural behaviour, and killed by gassing, anal electrocution, or neck-breaking.
No living being should be forced to endure this extreme suffering for luxury fashion. Support Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade’s campaign to end fur at Milan Fashion Week by signing this petition. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana needs to see that the public is firmly against fur and feel pressured to act.

As organizers of one of the world’s most influential fashion event, you hold a platform that shapes the future of the fashion industry. That platform comes with responsibility.
The fur industry is built on extreme cruelty to wild animals. They are trapped, caged, and killed in conditions that cause immense suffering — not out of necessity, but for luxury. London and New York Fashion Weeks have already gone fur-free. By allowing it on your runways, you are telling designers, stylists, and consumers that cruelty is still welcome in Milan. It doesn’t have to be this way. A fur-free policy costs you nothing and signals to the world that Milan Fashion Week stands on the right side of history.
Ban fur from Milan Fashion Week’s runways permanently.
