Roger Lynch is not your ordinary animal abuser; he does not physically kill fur-bearing animals with his bare hands, but rather his position of power in Vogue Magazine’s parent company, Condé Nast, ensures that wildlife will continue to be killed for fashion on the runways and on the pages (both physical and digital) of Vogue Magazine.

POSITION OF POWER: CEO OF THE COMPANY THAT OWNS VOGUE.

Roger Lynch is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Condé Nast, a global mass media company that was founded in 1909 and has become a dominant player in media – particularly in the world of fashion because it owns GQ, Vanity Fair, and, of course, fashion’s most influential publication: Vogue Magazine. While Roger may not partake in the day-to-day decisions at Vogue Magazine, he alone can override the decisions of his subordinates at Vogue. This reality gives Roger Lynch immense power and is why convincing Roger that fur should be left in the past is vital to winning this campaign.

If Roger Lynch wanted fur off of Vogue’s pages today, all it would take is a phone call to his subordinate: Anna Wintour.

ANIMALS ARE DYING FOR ROGER’S PAYCHECK

Roger Lynch started working at the age of 10 as a newspaper delivery boy and has since risen to the top echelon of mass media. This achievement, however, has come at a price.

Every year, millions of animals die on fur farms. They wallow in tiny wire cages waiting for fur farmers to pull them out so that they can be gassed or have their necks broken so that their pelts can be sold at auctions for fashion houses like Berluti or Louis Vuitton to purchase and turn them into next winter’s runway collection. If there is enough praise for the real fur garments on the runway by the fashion elites at Vogue, these designs will be turned into ready-to-wear collections for the average consumer like you and me.

Roger Lynch has the power to stop this cycle by enacting a company-wide fur-free policy at Condé Nast, but instead, he turns a blind eye to the suffering that animals endure in this vicious loop and happily keeps collecting checks for his role as CEO.

ROGER LYNCH IS A MONSTER

Great leaders do not stand back and allow animals to be exploited under their watch, yet Roger Lynch has done exactly that with Vogue Magazine. Roger is well aware of the foxes on fur farms being skinned for his paycheck and he does nothing. While it is unlikely that many will show up to this year’s Halloween parties dressed as Roger, he is, in fact, a monster in disguise.

TAKE ACTION ON THE STREETS!

Since Roger Lynch is not going to give the wildlife on fur farms mercy, we are going to have to give this villain a little push.
