FIFTY THREE ACTIONS WORLDWIDE AGAINST FUR IN APRIL
April was a big month for the anti-fur movement. Not only did 53 protests take place worldwide, with a huge push from the EU on the Max Mara campaign and two 2 victories.
– Victory was not without controversy – Neiman Marcus broke their fur-free policy. After they were targeted by activists across North America for 4 days of relentless action they realized they had made a mistake and surrendered. They are once again fur-free.
– Victory number two was a Virgina based sex shop called Taboo. – they committed to never again sell fur. Campaign was led by Virgina for Animal Liberation (VAL).
There was a rise in actions in the EU from there weekend of action against Max Mara – that Australian activist joined in on.
